STREATHAM HILL.

HE Estate referred to within is situated in the very best part of Streatham Hill on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway, within five minutes' walk of Streatham Hill Station, affording excellent services to Victoria and London Bridge, and within a few minutes' car ride of Brixton. The beautiful Tooting Bec Common is only about three minutes' walk of the Estate, a view on which is shown at the end of the book.

On this common has been constructed one of the finest open air swimming baths in London.

The neighbourhood of Streatham Hill is favourably known, for its high position (about 200 feet above sea level), for the extremely healthy character of the locality. and for the convenience in reaching the open country with delightful rambling facilities and excellent cycling

roads.

Streatham Hill is well provided with Cricket, Tennis, Football and numerous other Clubs, and in addition Golf can he obtained on Tooting Bec and Streatham Commons and at the well-known Clubs at Norbury, within easy distance by omnibus.

Streatham Hill is well supplied with conveniences

for travelling to and from Town, by rail to Victoria (weekly packets of return tickets 3/-) and London Bridge, season tickets being also obtainable at favourable rates. There is also an efficient London County Council service of electric cars to Victoria, Westminster and Embank- ment, Blackfriars, Southwark and St. George's Church (for London Bridge), and in addition a service of Motor Omnibusses between Croydon and Oxford Circus.

The Church of St. Thomas is situated on the Estate, whilst Churches of all denominations are within a few

minutes' walk.
